Cary and his family have a heart of gold and the patience of saints...as they work hard to give mistreated German Shepherds a loving home.

Cary had rescued Wyatt. He and his family were much in love with that dog. But Wyatt, very sadly, became suddenly quite ill with a serious infection that caused his death. Cary was able to get Wyatt home, where he died in Cary's arms.

Not sure they wanted to face the possibility of going through that type of heart ache again...they put off thoughts of trying again. But soon they learned about Bo. Unable to turn their backs on a beautiful shepherd in need, they were soon off to the races again...working to get this 3 year old, 85 lb King of Dogs to accept them as his new family.

It wasn't always easy going! Bo had had a rough start and was not ready to easily give his loyalty to these new people. And having a dog this size get angry and scared can be a trying time.

But it appears that Bo has accepted Cary and his wife as his family.

It appears that things must be going well...because little, 6 month old, Roscoe has recently been rescued and joined the family!

What a little cutie!

I'm anxiously awaiting an update from Cary to learn how these guys are doing and will be sure to pass along any news.
